Enroll for B Sc in Nautical Science (February session) by School of Engineering & Technology, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi and the Directorate General f Shipping (DGS), Mumbai. The programme will be offered through selected training institutes approved by DGS and IGNOU for which details are given the prospectus.

You need: Candidates who have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) with not less than 55% in PCM or who have passed their B Sc with Physics as an individual subject in any one of the years with not less than 50% marks in the final year are eligible for this course. In the second case the candidates should have passed their 10+2 exam with PCM. In addition the candidates should have passed in the English language as a subject at either the 10th or 12th std or in the degree/diploma course conducted by the Board or any university with not less than 50% marks. Their age should not be more than 25 years. Age limit is relax able for two years in case of female candidates and 5 years for SC/ST. Candidates should be medically fit as per standard prescribed by MS Medical Examination rules 2000 and have a vision of 6/6 in each eye (without visual aids) including normal colour vision. Candidates have to qualify in an entrance test (OPENNET) on November.
